About
the Global-MINDS program

Global-MINDS is a Joint Master's Degree in Psychology of Global Mobility, Inclusion and Diversity in Society. It is a comprehensive 2-year programme, delivered in English, designed to provide high quality international training in scientific knowledge and practical skills in the field of social and cultural psychology. The program equips students with in-depth knowledge on themes relevant to the current social and business environment, including culture, organizations, diversity and inclusion as well as global mobility and cultural adaptation.

During the course of study, students gain first-hand intercultural experience while studying in at least two Partner Universities, participating in an internship, and by writing a research-based M.A. thesis. Thanks to the international component, the breadth of topics, and the combination of theory and practice, the Global-MINDS program in Social and Cultural Psychology is unique among social sciences programs available around the world.

Study Paths

The Global-MINDS program consists of obligatory study and research periods, in at least two universities. It offers two mobile study paths: 1st semester in Warsaw and 2nd semester in Oslo or Limerick or 1st semester in Lisbon and 2nd semester in Limerick or Oslo. For the 4th semester, students must return to the university they chose for their 1st or the 2nd semester.

Each of the universities partnering in the Global-MINDS program is recognized for their academic contribution to Social Sciences. Therefore, students will have an opportunity to learn from an international team of world-renowned scholars, experts in their respective disciplines. Additionally, an international network of associate partners, such as private companies, civil society organizations, public service providers, practitioners, policy makers, governmental organizations, and NGOs, will provide valuable student internships and assistance in finding employment opportunities for graduates of the program.

The thematic Master's Degree in Social and Cultural Psychology is a valuable diploma, because it provides an educational background and competencies sought after by employers in many fields. The Global-MINDS program is designed to meet the growing need for experts who are trained in dealing with the complexity of interactions among people of different cultures, ethnicities and social groups. Therefore graduates of the Global-MINDS program will be able to find employment opportunities in all areas requiring cultural competence and social psychology expertise.

Global-MINDS graduates will be able to find employment opportunities in:

  • Business organizations (e.g. human resources management, international marketing, and international management and administration)
  • Communities (e.g. evaluation of diversity programs in the community)
  • Health sector (e.g. dealing with health disparities, cultural health beliefs and communication barriers for migrants)
  • NGOs (e.g. the Psychology Coalition at the United Nations)
  • Media, Public Relations, and Education (e.g. educational school programs on ethnic and cultural diversity of students)
  • Development and International Agencies (e.g. humanitarian aid workers)
  • Governments (e.g. Public Policy Departments) and local authorities (e.g. dealing with migration related issues at a local level)

Currently, the Global-MINDS Consortium charges the following participation costs for 1 year of the program:

  • EUR 4,500/year for students from EU27, EEA (Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein), North Macedonia, Serbia, and Turkey
  • EUR 9,000/year for students from all other countries

The Erasmus Mundus program offers two types of scholarships for the best candidates:

  • Full Scholarship – covers tuition costs, plus EUR 1,400/month for the living expenses
  • Partial Scholarship – EUR 1,400/month for the living expenses
